Gaëlle Gabillet and Stéphane Villard joined forces in Studio GGSV in 2011, after they collaborated on "{Objet} Trou Noir", winner of the Carte Blanche VIA 2011.

They developed a multidisciplinary practice, ranging from curated exhibitions to object design, from scenography to interior architecture. Very first French designers to collaborate with Gufram, they imagined “Galerie Party” for the 40th anniversary of the Center Pompidou in 2018.

Back from their residence in the prestigious Villa Medicis in 2019, they redeveloped the Paris Museum of Modern Art with the architects from H2O. In 2021, the 19M entrusts them with the complete design of La Galerie.

Studio GGSV signs here its reunion with Galeries Lafayette, for which it had already imagined the exhibition “Demain, le Vaisseau Chimère” in 2018 at the Galerie des Galeries.

Galeries Lafayette's 2022 invitation to Studio GGSV gives life to “STAIRWAY TO HEAVENS”, a monumental and permanent art installation that transforms the heart of the Parisian store into a moving fantasy landscape, animated by a poetic energy, "that of a genius defining the horizon of possible conversions”.

Groupe Galeries Lafayette has made access to creation one of the founding values ​​of its identity, acting as a mediator between artists and the public: the encounter between art and commerce for all.

The Department of Cultural Engagements promotes this centenary and plural commitment, by initiating artistic and cultural sponsorships within all of their stores, inviting everyone to discover the best of contemporary creation.

Made with the help of specialized craftsmen, each creation mixes ancestral techniques and new technologies, testifying to the richness of the dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation, initiated within this perennial artistic commission.
